Staff Spotlight: Sara Loeffelholz Palinski, PT
Sara Loeffelholz Palinski loves to have fun! This definitely shows through her work as a physical therapist at Omaha Physical Therapy Institute! Learn more about Sara below!
Why did you want to become a physical therapist? What do you love about being a physical therapist?
When I was a junior in high school, I injured my shoulder, had surgery, and ended up going to PT. It was during my own rehab that I discovered I wanted to be a PT and help other injured athletes and individuals. I love being a PT for many reasons! I have the opportunity to get to know some incredible and super nice people. I love seeing someone work hard and make progress towards their goals in sometimes a tough physical and emotional situation.
What is your favorite family tradition?
We have so many fun ones that it’s very difficult for me to pick! Many of them involve great dinners with all of us involved in the process of making the meal, followed by games around the kitchen table. Those nights can’t be beat!
What is one thing you will never do again?
Skydiving. Never, ever, ever again. I almost died (true story) and so I’m very happy to keep my feet on the ground!
How would your friends describe you?
Fun, positive, weird, loyal and always ready to dance.
In a movie about yourself, which actor would you want to play you?
Julia Stiles. We don’t look anything alike and I have no clue what her actual personality is, but I loved her in all movies from the 90’s and 2000’s!
What is a pet peeve of yours?
When seconds are left on the microwave and not cleared off.
Who is your hero?
I would say I have several heroes, but my Mom and Dad are probably at the top of the list. They’ve taught me many important life lessons and have shown me through action what it looks like to be a great spouse, parent, sibling and friend.
Other things to know about Sara: she was a Division I softball player, is an awesome golfer, and comes from a “Jay-sker” marriage (she’s a BIG Creighton fan and her husband LOVES the Huskers…but we won’t talk about that )
