Meet the Physical Therapist – Marc Hunley

My name is Marc Hunley and I am one of the physical therapists at Omaha Physical Therapy Institute. I am the newest physical therapist to the team at OPTI. The two clinic founders, Brent and Katie Cordery, have been good friends of mine for some time.  It is easy to get up for work when you work with friends who are so passionate about the profession of PT and share the same values with patient care that I do.

I found my niche in physical therapy after job shadowing at a physical therapy clinic in Omaha. I attended Creighton University and received my degree in exercise science in 1999.  I then went on to earn my Doctoral degree from Creighton University in Physical Therapy in 2003. I have always had a special passion for sports. I grew up competing in gymnastics and playing soccer.  In high school I continued to play soccer and now, as an adult, still play in the Nebraska Men’s Soccer League. I also enjoy running, golfing, and sand volleyball.  Most of my free time, however, is spent with my wife and children which is always a fun, chaotic time!

My favorite thing about physical therapy is hearing everyone’s unique story, how they ended up through the doors of our clinic, what’s causing their pain, and getting to develop and share a relationship with them. 

I have worked elsewhere before I accepted a position at OPTI which has allowed me to realize how unique OPTI truly is.  OPTI raises the bar with their ethical standards and we all share a passion for providing the highest quality of care. I feel very fortunate to be a part of such a strong and compassionate physical therapy team. I am so happy to be working at OPTI. They truly feel like my second family.
