Giving patients the care they DESERVE.
Marc Hunley, PT, DPT
Marc has always had a heart for helping others, and his passion for physical therapy was sparked by his own experiences as a young athlete. A youth state champion gymnast and All-City soccer player in Kansas, Marc developed an early appreciation for movement and injury recovery. While pursuing his undergraduate degree at Creighton University, he worked as a student athletic trainer—an opportunity that allowed him to gain hands-on experience with athletes from Creighton, UNO, and local high schools. He went on to earn his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Creighton in 2003.
Before joining OPTI, Marc practiced in both private clinics in Kansas and within a large healthcare system in Nebraska. He is an APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor and is passionate about mentoring future PTs. As a lifelong learner, Marc understands the importance of staying current with the latest research and treatment techniques to provide the best care possible. He even leads OPTI’s monthly “Nerd Out” meetings, where he collaborates one-on-one with each PT to dive into current studies, new ideas, and emerging trends in the field.
One of Marc’s proudest professional moments was providing physical therapy at the 2012 Olympic Swim Trials—an experience that perfectly combined his passion for sports and excellence in care.
Marc joined the OPTI family in 2015. He and his wife, Kate, have five amazing kids who keep them very (and we mean very) busy. Outside the clinic, Marc enjoys playing soccer, golfing, and running—especially half marathons. And fun fact: he graduated from PT school in the same class as fellow OPTI PT, Katie Reisbig Cordery!
😂Fun fact: Marc is known for his laugh. If you are funny enough, you might get the honor of hearing it!
