Giving patients the care they DESERVE.
Katie Reisbig Cordery, PT, DPT
Katie’s path to physical therapy began with a setback that turned into a calling. After tearing her Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) during a high school basketball practice, she was introduced to the world of rehab—and found her passion. Inspired by the impact physical therapy had on her own recovery, she developed a deep desire to help others navigate their healing journeys. Katie understands the physical and emotional toll injuries can take, and she’s committed to supporting her patients through both, helping them rebuild strength, confidence, and resilience as they return to work, life, or sport.
Katie earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Creighton University in 2003, graduating with honors. She brings extensive experience in both pediatric and adult orthopedic and sports medicine, and her dedication to delivering the highest quality of care led her and her husband, Brent, to open Omaha Physical Therapy Institute in 2007.
Katie’s love for health and wellness extends far beyond the clinic. A lifelong athlete, she played basketball and soccer, and did gymnastics growing up. As a Division I athlete at Creighton University, she was voted captain of the women’s soccer team, earned multiple all-conference academic and athletic honors, and was recognized as the team’s “Most Inspirational Player.”
When she’s not treating patients, Katie enjoys staying active through tennis, soccer, hiking, and exercise. She also loves attending concerts, traveling, boating, and—most importantly—snuggling her puppy.
🎬Fun fact: Katie always looks up the ending of scary movies before she watches them…because who needs that kind of stress?
