Jack Matuella, PT, DPT

Jack Matuella discovered an early interest in physical therapy in middle school after enduring multiple injuries that sidelined him from sports. He really enjoyed how his physical therapist helped him get back to the things he loved and he decided he wanted to impact others life positively like this as well!

His passion for helping others and his strong commitment to research and continuing his education earned him a position as a physical therapist at Omaha Physical Therapy Institute

Jack graduated with honors from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Exercise Health Science. He then earned his doctoral degree in physical therapy with distinction from the University of Nebraska-Medical Center.

Jack enjoys working with orthopedic and sports injuries and as a multi-sport athlete in high school, he knows what it takes to get back to being active, not only with daily tasks but with high level physical activity and sports.

Jack is committed to serving the community and is really proud to be a part of the physical therapy profession. He enjoys reading articles and listening to physical therapy podcasts to stay up-to-date on the most science-based treatments to provide his patients. Jack has a special interest in ACL rehabilitation.

In his free time, he loves spending time with his family and friends, weight lifting, running, cooking healthy meals, hiking, traveling, and going to sporting events. Jack has been a part of the OPTI family since 2021!

Fun facts: Jack and his wife are determined to attend a baseball game at every MLB stadium in the United States! Oh, also, he was a child model! Ask him to see a picture!
