Jenna’s Positive Outlook & Experience at OPTI

“Omaha Physical Therapy Institute (OPTI)is such a fun atmosphere. Getting therapy here kept me motivated and excited to progress in a positive direction with my injury. Not only did therapy help me physically, but also this positive environment kept me in a happy and energetic mood. My experience at OPTI will always be one to remember.”

Being a former college athlete, I have experienced a lot in terms of what it is like to want to get back in the game more than anything. Playing college soccer was a great experience and one that I would never take back. I played at Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville. Being away from home gave me an opportunity to grow in many ways. During my time, I battled through an intense foot injury. I broke my foot my freshman year and had surgery here in Omaha. I received four foot surgeries over the time span of a year and a half. As I was trying to recover and get back in the game, my doctor referred me to OPTI. My experience at OPTI will always be one to remember.

Omaha Physical Therapy Institute is such a fun atmosphere. Getting therapy here kept me motivated and excited to progress in a positive direction with my injury. Not only did therapy help me physically, but also this positive environment kept me in a happy and energetic mood. When I was back at school I received treatment through my athletic trainer, but it was never one-on-one therapy with the same person every time. When I was at OPTI the attention was on me, which really means a lot when you’re trying to progress in the right direction.

One of my favorite parts about my physical therapy at OPTI was the Athletes in Motion program. OPTI worked with me at the Omaha Sports Complex where I was put in an environment to properly prepare for soccer again. She worked on specific skills with me in order to get me ready for pre-season again. This was extremely beneficial and one of the reasons why I would recommend this rehab experience to anyone! OPTI would always stay in touch with me to see how I was doing, which really showed how much she cared and made me appreciate the therapy I received even more. This past year I decided not to continue on with soccer. This was a tough decision, but I believe that everything happens for a reason.jenna3

I enjoy biking for workouts now, because it isn’t as strenuous on my foot and I love feeling the wind in my face! Receiving physical therapy and experiencing a difficult injury impacted me to work towards becoming a physical therapist myself. I am overwhelmed with joy now because not only do I have a goal of becoming a physical therapist, I also get to work at OPTI as a rehabilitation technician. I just could not get enough of this place, so I had to come back! This time I am learning about how I can someday help people just like me and teach them to never give up. Life sure is great here at OPTI and I wouldn’t change my experience for anything!
