Brent has had his fair share of injuries throughout his athletic career. His struggles with injury along with a strong interest in healthcare, motivated Brent to pursue a career in physical therapy.
Brent graduated with honors from Creighton University with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2002. He has extensive experience treating orthopedic and sports-related injuries with emphasis on prevention. Brent is committed to providing patients with specialized treatments backed by research and science, offering personalized, hands-on physical therapy. He has assisted high level athletes including major league baseball, professional football, and professional soccer players back into playing their respective sports confidently. Brent also has specialized training and experience in the treatment of the spine. He has done a great deal of research on neurodynamics and is always up to date with the current scientific research on modern pain science.
Brent has received several honors for his service in the orthopedic physical therapy realm including the highly revered Pinnacle Award for best clinician from the Institute for Athletic Medicine in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Brent is a consultant for many area athletic teams educating coaches and parents on prevention.
As he promotes health and wellness to the community, Brent, himself, leads an active lifestyle outside of his practice of physical therapy. He has been playing competitive soccer since his youth including participation in the Olympic Development Program as well as regional select teams in the Virginia, New York, and South Dakota regions. He also enjoys running, reading, hiking, boating, traveling, and downhill skiing. Brent is a dedicated member of the American Physical Therapy Association’s Orthopedic and Private Practice sections.
Fun fact: Brent was a Division I trumpet player at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln!
