Braden Swanson knew he wanted to help others overcome injury and disability after observing a relative receiving physical therapy while he was in college. His passion for helping others and his strong commitment to research and continuing his education earned him a position as a physical therapist at Omaha Physical Therapy Institute.
Braden graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition then went on to obtain his Doctoral degree in physical therapy from Creighton University. He is quite active in the physical therapy profession as a member of the orthopedic, sports, and research sections of the American Physical Therapy Association. He is committed to learning and staying up to date with the most effective interventions for his patients. Braden enjoys working with orthopedic and sports injuries and, as a three sport athlete in high school (football, wrestling, and track) as well as a wrestling coach, he knows what it takes to get back to being active not only with daily tasks but with high level, contact sports.
Braden is committed to serving the community, and is really proud to be a part of the physical therapy profession. He enjoys spending time with his family, watching movies, cooking and eating great food, and is a talented wood worker!
Fun fact: Braden grew up on a farm in central Nebraska (Aurora) where they grew a variety of crops but most importantly popcorn! The popcorn from his farm is used to make caramel corn that is distributed throughout the country!
